Special Deliveries to our Healthcare Heroes

As the global pandemic continues to impact our communities, many brave and determined individuals have stepped up, persevering in the face of great challenges. Small business owners have adapted to new ways of doing business – from online orders to curbside pickup to home delivery. Teachers and students have adapted to new approaches to education. And when it comes to healthcare, there is a particular group of heroes that we are especially thankful for – the frontline ICU workers who sacrifice their time with family and risk their lives tirelessly for us. So we wanted to do something special for them for the holidays.

This April, we launched our COVID-19 Community Support Program to deliver care packages (free produce boxes filled with fresh fruits and vegetables) to ICU workers throughout the SF Bay Area. This holiday season, we decided to broaden the impact of our support program from coast to coast, with our GrubMarket branches across California, Michigan and Massachusetts.

Over the past several weeks, we have been sending care packages to ICU healthcare professionals at hospitals and COVID testing facilities as part of our Holiday COVID-19 Community Support Program. This time, we delivered fresh fruits and vegetables, farm-fresh eggs, local artisan bread, snack packs, and shepherd’s pies!

“We have so much gratitude for these incredible men and women, who are working long hospital shifts through the holidays – risking their lives to keep us all healthy and safe. They are true heroes in our communities. These care packages are just a small token of our deep appreciation. We hope that they enjoy these gifts, and we send them our best wishes for the holidays from all of us at GrubMarket, from the bottom of our hearts,” said Mike Xu, CEO and Founder of GrubMarket.

They take wonderful care of our community, and have meant a great deal to my family. Hopefully, this gift of groceries provides them with more time to relax and enjoy the holidays.”

As our Eating with the Seasons co-chef, Mike Fisher, says. “It is a true blessing to be able to do something positive in these trying times.” We are so thankful to have the opportunity to contribute to our communities through our Holiday COVID-19 Community Support Program. We invite all of our friends and customers to follow along, and join us in offering our sincere gratitude to our healthcare heroes!

Happy holidays from all of us at GrubMarket!
